چکیده

Clary sage (Salvia sclarea L.), a member of the Lamiaceae family aromatic plants, is used as flavoring in food, fragrance, and cosmetic industries. Egypt’s food pharmaceutical industries require more natural resources, thus new crops have been introduced to meet demand. In addition, various environmental conditions, such water stress, influence plant growth essential oil output. The microorganisms included biofertilizers that enzymes solubilize minerals include growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRs). Therefore, field experiment was carried out test how irrigation management, i.e., 100% reference evapotranspiration (ETo) (full irrigation) or 50% ETo (water stress), can affect herbal yield, oil, physiological aspects clary sage, well improve plants utilizing biofertilizer Mediterranean climate zone. main processes through which PGPRs aid coping with stress increased macro micronutrient concentrations (P, N, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, B, Mn, Cu, Fe), dehydrogenase activity, traits photosystem II (Fv/Fm), chlorophyll content (SPAD-value), plant’s health (normalized difference vegetation index, NDVI), shoot dry weight, leaf area plants. Application different reduced canopy temperature (CT), improving either under ETo. Consequently, usage appropriate for alleviating stresses experienced by has potential use maintaining productivity may be regarded an important component sustainable agricultural practices.

Chemical composition and biological activities of essential oil from Salvia sclarea plants regenerated in vitro.

The essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of dried aerial parts of Salvia sclarea L. plants, regenerated in vitro and reproduced from seeds, were analyzed by GC and GC-MS. The oils from in vitro and in vivo plants were compared in respect to their chemical composition as well as antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities. The chemical profiles of both oils were very similar, although the yie...

The Essential Oil of Salvia sclarea L. from Tajikistan

The essential oil from the aerial parts of Salvia sclarea L., growing wild in Tajikistan, were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by gas chromatography – mass spectrometry. A total of 59 compounds were identified representing 94.2% of total oil composition. Major components of the essential oil were linalyl acetate (39.2%), linalool (12.5%), germacrene D (11.4%), α-terpineol (5.5%), ger...

Mapping and Attributing Normalized Difference Vegetation Index Trends for Nepal

Global change affects vegetation cover and processes through multiple pathways. Long 1 time series of surface land surface properties derived from satellite remote sensing give unique 2 abilities to observe these changes, particularly in areas with complex topography and limited research 3 infrastructure. Here, we focus on Nepal, a biodiversity hotspot where vegetation productivity is 4 limited...

Drought Determination by Using Land Surface Temperature and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index

Today, many places of different locations on Earth especially semi-arid areas face the risk of desertification due to severe drought. However, the very basic data required for the analysis is unavailable for the regions without a meteorological station. In this case, land surface temperature (LST) is derived from a thermal band as an alternative meteorological station’s data. In this research, ...
